You can improve your stability and balance, by working on your core strength. Several muscle groups make up your core, including those surrounding your spine and shoulder blades (scapula) and muscles in your hips, buttox and pelvis. Together, they provide stability, linking the lower and upper body enabling you to move in any direction, or stand still without losing your balance.
